This work focuses on the examination of two High Entropy Alloys (HEAs), AlTiVCr and AlTiVCr–Si 7.2, which have been observed to fail in a brittle manner directly after casting. Understanding failure mechanics is prerequisite for an alternative enhanced alloy design order prevent early without loading application. The specimens were produced using Vacuum Arc Melting methodology protective argon atmosphere. material was re–melted five times combination with electromagnetic stirring achieve fully homogenized microstructure. Based our findings, occurred first 10 minutes casting during slow cooling. Similarly, same took place thermal treatment third re–melting. prepared optical (OM) scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis. consists coarse dendritic microstructure as well retained BCC phase, phase. In – Si 7.2 uniformly dispersed, angular intermetallic compound, namely Ti 5 3 , identified, increases resistance material. these findings will be redesigned.
